Does anyone Know where I can get a manual for a Canon Speedlite 177A? I purchased this flash used and it did not come with a manual. Are there any sites with downloads on this type of information?4. From : Duane K (dkucheran@creo.com)

The new F-1 does _not_ have mirror lockup. It does have smoother mirror operation than any of the previous Canon cameras but for that last bit for Astrophotography, well... Cheers,

Greetings, I am looking for an F-1 for asrtophotography and was wondering if the newer F-1n has a mirror lock as the older version did? I like the faster ASA/ISO speed of the F-1n but without a mirror lock it won't be a very good choice. Many thanks.6. From : Tom Kessler (T70SSRS@aol.com)

Hello Ian, I have an F-1N that was acting exactly as you describe, I took it for service, and it turned out the shutter needed rebuilding. Fortunately I had purchased the camera with a 4 year warranty, saved me $180.00. I'm ready for the next 20 years. Tom7. From : Ian Forbes (ian.forbes@snet.net)

I have a New (and new to me) F-1 (F-1N) that has a problem.
The best way I can think of to describe it is that the shutter seems "tired". Whenever I shot several pictures in quick secession, the shutter starts to slow down and eventually it won't fire or fires verrry slowly. It's the same with or without the battery installed and the same with any of 2 or 3 different new batteries (Lithium, Alkaline, or Zinc).
I assume that it needs to go in for service but if anyone could shed some light on the cause I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks!
Ian

Does anyone know if the F1N's audible beep for the self-timer can be defeated? I know how to defeat the self-timer once it has been triggered with the shutter button.
I have an F1N that I sold, and the buyer finds the beep doesn't work. The self-timer and all other functions do operate properly. Just the beep isn't there. Anyone have a clue?
Please email me any responses as I don't get here often. If there are meaningful replies I will come back here and post them.
Thanks,
