I must point out that in the preamble to the F and A series forums the statement about which FD body's work without battery's has left out one of the jewels in the crown of the FD range the EF whose hybrid electro/ mechanical metal Copal Square shutter works from 1second to 1000sec and B, and only uses battery's for the slower speeds from 1/2sec to 30 sec.

Regarding the Canon F-1's shutter, you state the curtains are 1/14000mm thick. This is clearly in error, as the surface finish doubtless exceeds that! Perhaps it's 1/14000 of a meter, which would be 1/14mm (.071mm). That's about .0025 inch; a page of my L.A. Times is about .002 inch, less than 1/20mm. Ordinary aluminum foil here in the U.S. is about .0005 inch, slightly less than 1/80mm; heavy duty foil is about .001/inch, slightly less than 1/40mm.

Hi, I am just looking to find a couple of the 250 film canisters. I am currently switching back to film from digital as I want people to know that I have personally composed and took the shot as actual photograph. It is not manipulated as so many photographs are today. So I am currently breaking out my old Canon F-1's; A-1's; and all lenses and accessories, which does include the 250 magazine. So I just need to locate a couple of extras if anybody has any, or knows where to get any. Thank you, Rod <'}}}}}}}}><

Quick question, any body know, or have experience using the new Canon 48mm Circular Polarizing (PL-C) Glass Filter - Drop-In that is made for the newer EF autofocus lense on a Canon FD 600mm 4.5? I want to use a polarizer on my FD 600mm lense and don`t know the best or easiest way to get this done. Any help or advice would be a great help. Thanks, Kevin M Brennan saltyfli@aol.com
