Check the base, most camers have a double latch (safety measures) i.e. press and slide kind of mecahnism to release the cover. The EOS700 uses 1 X 6V lithium battery pack (2CR5), easy accessible at most outlets as long as you tell them it is for a Canon camera.2. From : Alastair (fallingtomyego@hotmail.com)

Hello, I've just bought myself a Canon Eos 700, being very much an amature I'm very impressed with it's features. However as I got it off eBay it has no instruction manual, I've looked all over this site and learnt alot however I'm not too sure as to how to change the battery and work the reversable dial. Any help would be greatly appreciated whilst I continue to find a manual. Thank Alastair3. From : Dickie (cap_code99@hotmail.com)

Dee ? it is good to specify your camera model, not all canon eos models provide full set of advance ttl flash control. if you are using an original cano flash, speed should be auto set, if you trun the dial, you should be using speed lower than camera permit maximum sync (if canon speedlite is used, it will auto sync at highest sync speed).lastly, this malaysian site has a download page guide for instruction manual for many camera models. try to provide the specific model so we can see if anyway that we can help.4. It is hard to provide a rough price, but you can get a rough idea how much does a EOS 500 cost by copying this URL:

I have a Canon Rebel II that has worked perfectly since I purchased it, untill recently that is. The internal flash quit working, when I tried an external flash it would not work either. When I took some photos outside only the lower have of each frame was exposed. My question is, is this a problem that is economically feasable to repair, or should I dispose of the camera and get a new one ?9. From : Elizabeth Muthoni (tala_tata@yahoo.com)

Hi, I have a Canon eos 1000F (sometimes referred to as a Rebel model) and the flash has stopped working. It highlights that flash is required, but when flipped up, it never fires. It used to, but stopped working a while back. has anyone any idea what causes this to happen? Cheers Chris Christie
