Can someone tell me what lens hood the 28-80/3.5-5.6 USM first version, metal mount, focusing distance scale and FTM focus lens uses? It's not the same as the hood for the version II - V and the EF-S equivalent. I'm new to EOS and finding resources on Canon products, especially older items seems difficult and hope to get some help here. BTW, I prefer the older lenses. Thanks to all, Mark3. With the EOS-1 released in 1989, the EOS-1N in 1994, and the EOS-1V in 2000, has anyone heard if there will be a fourth generation EOS-1 in 2005? Especially as Nikon have now released an F6. What are the chances that Canon will discontinue it's 35mm flagship SLR?4. From : David (david@davidcourt.com)

To Dozie: ISO speeds start from: 6, 12, 25, 32, 40, 50, 64, 80, 100, 125, 160, 200, 250, 320, 400, 500, 640, 800, 1000, 1250, 1600, 2000, 2500, 3200, 4000, 5000 and 6400. Good luck in getting your clicks right when selecting manually. BTW, most film cassettes are DX-coded and as long as they are not scratched, automatic registering of the film speed in use will be taken care by the EOS-1 camera.7. From : dozie (doziemets@aol.com)

Hello. I saw your question on the Canon Eos website, and was curious whether you could aid me in a problem. I own a EOS-1.however last week I cracked the LCD screen, and the only thing I'm unable to control is the ISO(film Speed) I was wondering if you could list the film speeds in an orderly fashion from the lowest film speed to the highest. Instead of paying a ridiculous amount repairing the LCD screen, I will simply count the places of the ISO speeds...do you understand? Simply list the film speed numbers in order from the lowest to highest…I would really appreciate it. Dozie8. From : Wayne Lorimer (wjlorimer@clear.net.nz)

Hi everyone. Hope this question hasn't been asked too many times - forgive me if it has!? I've just brought an EOS 1 with Power Drive Booster PB E1, and 430EZ Flash. The info I have on these units is that they take either AA Alkalines or Ni-Cd's. I would like to get rechargables to save some money, but I can't get Ni-Cd's anymore - it's now Ni-Hm's. The guy at the camera store thought it would be alright to use Ni-HM rechargables with the booster and flash unit - but I'm not game to try.
Does anyone use Ni-Mh's with their 430EZ flash and PB E1? Can they be used, or does it have to be Ni-Cd's? Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW - it's the original version of the PB E1, and not the second version that came out with the EOS 1N. Regards Wayne Lorimer9. From : Bill McDonnell (wpmcd@yahoo.com)

Having a problem with an older EOS Elan (aka 100)...On the L mode (Lock, or off) my camera still shoots pictures. I actually have to remove the bettery to get the camera to turn off. I am thinking this may be a battery problem, but not sure. I live in a rural area, hoping to get a new battery today and try it out, but I am kinda concerned that the battery may not be the problem. Does anyone have any idea what this could be???
