I just bought a EOS 1n on ebay, downloaded a manual, but still cannot locate a battery in the body. It does not have a large screw on the base plate like the ops Manual shows. It did come with a E1 Winder, but even with new batteries in it, I still cannot seem to get any power to the camera....Help anyone. - Rene' Read 4. From : MILES (mp@intekom.com)

I have owned and used this EOS 1 for 15 years. It has just developed a strange fault of the SHUTTER not responding to any shutter movement causing a picture to not be taken.
This camera is in supreme condition, everything works perfectly except the shutter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, regards, Miles.5. From : Rene' Read (rene39338@yahoo.com)

Dear Pieter:
I also have the 400D camera. I am afraid that you cannot use and FL or FD mount lens on the 400D or any other Canon autofocus camera. The lens mounts are different, and the different thicknesses of the camera bodies do not permit practical adapters to be made to connect the FL or FD mount lens to the EOS body.
However, there are adapters that you can buy to use either Nikon, Olympus, or Pentax (M42 screw) mount lenses to the Canon body. I have all of these, they are not very expensive and they all work well (the Olympus adapter is somewhat more convenient to use than the others, but any of them will work fine). If you are interested in using a manual focus lens on your 400D, I would suggest looking for a lens in one of these mounts and buying the corresponding adapter.
I hope this is helpful.

good day,
i am pieter from holland and i am a amateur photografer. I am using a eos 400d with different lenses. I have been searching for a affordable telelens and someone offered me a Canon FL-F 500mm lens but it is very old and i am wondering is i can use it on my camera. It doens't matter to me that is not focussing automatically because i like to make all my photos on manual.
could you advice me if i can use this lens at all or is it too old?
best regards,8. From : Rishi Suri (rishisuribly@yahoo.co.in)

Dear Sir,
I have very recently purchased a new lens of make Canon 20mm wide 2.8f. When I take Photographs of groupings I realised that my focus is not getting clear and I am taking pictures at 10f and 1/25 of sec. Please suggest me the reason for not getting the clear focused pictures.
Looking forward for your quick response.

hey guys, just a question. I cannot get the film to load in my Canon EOS Elan II. I am putting it in correctly or by the book shall I say. When I turn the camera on, then it makes all the right noises like the film is advancing but the LCD panel shows the the film blinking which indicates the film has been rewound. Any ideas? The film is Kodak 36/400 speed, just FYI,
thxs in advance for any nfo.

I have a Canon EOS 1000F camera. Its flash is not working and this seems to prevent picture taking, as exposed film is white.
This camera has been out of use for a long time so presumably this has caused malfunction. What should I do.
Many thank in anticipation of your assistance.
