I am from Brazil. I have bought a used EOS-50E (with eye control focusing) recently from a local dealer. It is simply an amazing experience to try out the ECF for the first time with an EF 35mm prime lense. It is not as effective as I used the slower speed long tele-zoom (Sigma). I have learnt that third party zoom may not be as good in compatibility with original EF zoom when operating in EFC, is this correct ? I have read some users are complaining about the 50E, it is a very high quality camera, well built, friendly and very inviting to use (even for my daughter who always used for her outdoor activities such as camping, tracking etc.). Anyway, I am not a working professional and over the eight months period, this camera has gone beyond my expectation from a Canon label as I previously was using a Pentax ME which got stolen on a trip to the caribbean. Anyway, hopefully, oneday, I may get myself a EOS-3 and leave the 50E for my family. I wish to tell the creator he is doing a great deal of favour by making these sites. Bravo.

I am looking for a camera repair shop in Korea, preferrably the Seoul area. My EOS Elan II has started locking up when I use my zoom lenses. I want to turn the whole kit in for service if it is feasible.

Thank you for the wonderful session on the EOS-KISS II that I bought in Japan while on a trip to the orient. I have little knowledge with the camera and didn't even know it was called as Rebel G in US (I am from Maine). Anyway, I am not a serious photographer and our family is using the camera and it seems to be quite reliable and never had any problems with it all these years. Recently, my daughter is getting serious with photography and wants to buy a zoom lens for the camera and the local guys was a little amze to see the model name "KISS". He has told me to it is perfectly alright to use the lenses with it even though he is not sure what model was it. I did a search and found your site, got what I am looking for... I wish to thank whoever has getting these information compiled together for people like me ( I have got a few other sources but nothing compared to yours). Thanks a million ! (note: nice to know you are using a Mac to create all these lovely sites of yours).

I have been visiting the site quite regularly and could not have been missed out this section of the EOS site (probably it is still under construction). I am also an EOS-1 user for years and have great passion for the Canon system. I am truly glad to see a serious effort in the making of a dedicated EOS-1 site. I have great faith in your work as reflects in all you have done for the classic slr series which is by far the BEST web resources you find find on the Net !

Since I am on the board, I am just curious to find out if anyone experienced the booster drive does not stop rewinding after film was fully rewound inside the catridge. I had mine bought used from a local dealer a few couple of years back. I thought it is natural and has to manually power off my camera each time to remove the film canister but recently I was told that was not the case. Is my camera/drive combination faulty or is it supposedly be this way ? Thanks for answering in advance, I am travelling and please use the board to reply. Regards.

I can feel this is another top class photograohic website in the making... I am currently using a EOS-1, EOS-Elan7E and a RT (for collection) with a host of EF lenses and EOS system accessories. I am seriously looking for reference on upgrading to either a EOS-1v or a digital EOS with enhanced reliability (the EOS-1Ds is ridiculously high in price !). I have been monitoring the progress of development in this website and noticed it has been contantly improving its content on related info for EOS bodies, thumbs up ! I don't really mind to wait a few months to read your personal comments relating to various professionalc class EOS bodies before a decision is made. Thanks for keeping the Canon flames charging high... regards, from Brooklyn, NY.

Hi chan, The very best way to find details of the Canon EOS is on the canon website, or simply use a search engine such as: Yahoo.com and then type in the words - canon EOS-1 or whatever model you are interested in.
