Alex, I regularly used an EOS-1 years ago and still own a 10S, which is from the same era and electronically related. BC generally means your battery is dead, but also appears when there's a short. Did you get moisture in the battery compartment? Do you need to clean the battery terminals? Are you sure your battery is new?

I just bought a 2nd hand EOS-1 camera. It stop working after I have shot 30 pictures with a newly installed lithium battery. 'bc' is flashing on the LCD and non of the functions or buttons work. What has happened to the camera ? Alex

Hi, thanks for an excellent site - it is good to see an electronic version of the handbook available to all! Just one question - does anyone have an electronic version of the Command Back E1 for the EOS1 that they can email to me? I bought a second hand back, but there are no instructions for it! Thanks William

Bought a Rebel 2000 and has no idea relating to other EOS SLRs. You guys are really doing Canon a BIG favour but at the same time, this website serves its purpose to someone like me, I believe it takes a lot of hardwork to make it going live - without any financial rewards, so what you all have done deserve my respect. Thank you.

Hey, this is a surprise find of the day. I have just found it via Google, it is great and the best thus far on a compilation of EOS info, I hope the EOS-1 series will turn into a world class resource centre on the web. Thank you.

Please keep up with the good effort. I consider this site as the reference site for EOS bodies - in fact, other than authentification, it is much better than the information provides at the Japan museum site. Thank you. Oh.. I am from Poland.

I have a canon EOS elan 7E, and I am trying to set the manual setting so that I can control BOTH aperature and shutter speed. How do I do this? Please email me ASAP! I have misplaced my manual.
