CASEY:
My interest in Pentax is more the pre-Spotmatic cameras. I did own one of the first LXs when they came out. Perfect size--ttl flash--very smooth. The only problem was I had only had it a few months when it started giving me shutter release problems. Never knew when I pushed the release if the shutter would actually fire. Seem worse in colder weather. I finally sold it. I seem to remember reading somewhere that some of the early models had that problem.
My favorite Pentax item is the screw mount 17mm f4 lens. Big heavy sucker but could produce outstanding photos. I had one that I used with adapter on a Nikon. But when I dropped out of photography for 20 years I sold it. They come up on Ebay occassionally in both screw and K mount but usually go for more than I'm willing to pay.4. Cornell. you like Pentax (saw from your website). I like the Pentax LX the web host has another section on this camera http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/pentaxlx/index.htm this is the best of Pentax manual focus body. I guess (sorry, many oldies do qualify).5. From : Casey (donbother@hatespam.com)

I am owning a F4s (now seldom mount with the larger power pack). Nikon F4 may not be the BEST SLR camera oin the market but it is the model that has the widest compatibility capability with older and newer Nikon system accessories (which include the Nikkor (except for the fxxxcking G-series). This is a very very useful and Important web site for users like us. Please make sure it is on going. I don't see ads - which is strange. May be one day if my business requires web site design (this is your core business right ? I read it via your "about section"), I would give some jobs to you guys. Cheers.

Thanks for the welcome.
The Nikon info on my site probably has some errors as I'm sort of feeling my way along with the newer models (new as far as I'm concerned, anyway). I now have acquired an SB-25 for the F4 and it does a great job. I like the fill flash option--less shadow. I also have the MB-20 grip on the way, although it cost me the price of about 2 1/2 Soviet rangefinders with lenses! The grip will cost as much as the F4 before long. I got the F4 mainly for MF lenses but since trying a couple of AFs on it I wish I hadn't divested myself of several AF lenses a while back. The AF lenses as especially nice in conjunction with the SB-25.

Hiya, I used to have a F4E bk in 1996, then I trade it for a Leica later..then the Leica down the drain cuz of water damaged after a year, so that I switched to EOS system for years, but then I sold them all to my friends 2 years ago because i decided to quit photography. I recently have a F3T but I thinking to buy a F4 again..my main question is; how to do the film leader out modification? The 1 I had 10 years ago was like that, and any idea how much it costs to have it mod? Thanks alot^^ Best regards.10.
