hello, I have the F4 MF-23 control back, however it does not show my aperatures, it does show the shutter speed on the LCD. Is this because i use 105mm AIS lens. or I have miss press on of it functions on the back control panel. Thanks ola2. From : Jwoods (centurywoods@yahoo.com)

Make sense, make sense... but I think with a companion Extension tube the magnification ratio is considerably "large". Reversing the lens for such use may not neccesary be the best combination, not to mention optical performance may also not be at its best, huh ? I have visited your page on the AI conversion from a link provided at the MF Nikkor section in leo site, excellent article.3. From : Lars (Nikonrepair-owner@yahoogroups.com)

jwoods - using an AI extension ring will not help as Andrea wants to reverse the lens. I believe Nikon indeed does advice on exposure compensation when extension is used (independent on focus screen used).

Andrea - The spot option is always avaible with F4. If you release the finder an slide it backwards a little bit you will even get meter readings in the +9 to -9 EV range in 1/3 stop increments. You may be able to solve your problem with light coming through the finder from the rear, by using a rubber eyecup.5. From : Jocelyn Lachapelle (jlachapelle7@hotmail.com)

Hi Guys, I need an answer on this matter. I have a f4s that a love much by the way. I have both the mb20 and mb21 batt pack. I noticed that when I put on the mb-20. The motor really slow down on loading and rewinding the film, almost at strogle point. I know that having two 1.5 battery in less. it is missing 3V there, but that can't be good for the motor, can it. Is any of you aware of this on there f4s. I recently send my f4s at Nikon for complete overfix (Ibought my f4s from a journalist that toke 80000 shoots, Nikon can tell). They change shutter and motor, but it still slow on the mb-20. Thank you very much for your help. Please email me or write back on mesage board. Best Regards Joce6. From : Kevin (k_ellsworth2000@yahoo.com)

Undecided to see if I should get a F80 or a Nikon F4 but after I read through these write-ups, I think I can revert back to the older camera. It makes better sense to invest into a camera that can deliver so many in a conservative AF capability (but who cares, I can not dying for sports pictures - I think the creator is right, how many of us are professionals ?). Come to think of it, its backward compatibilty with new and older lenses alone is good enough for a reason to look into getting myself a F4. Thanks for inspiring.8. Hello. I have noticed you have uploaded a new page, there is a tiny typ error "instal" at the bottom of the page: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/nikonf4/powersource/index.htm
I have observed you have uploaded many new pages since my last visit, that is good. By the way, sorry for intruding during your site construction stage. It is indeed a great web site !9. From : Gen Holst (genholst@excite.co.uk)

Sure. The viewfinder LCD will display a "lo" which indicates possible underexposure, In such case, you can either 1) lower the shutter speed; 2) use a faster lense, 3) change to a faster film type, 4) use a flash. If a non-CPU lens is used, the camera will change the "S" to "A" (aperture priority ae). Check these few pages:

Pay attention to the various displays shown in the site on the LCD panel inside the finder where each exposure mode (PH, P, A, S and M).10. I have a question about the F4 auto shutter mode. I just got an F4 camera and when taking a shot in auto shatter priority ( s ) is the camera gives me any warning about the aperture ? if I’m in a room and put the shutter on 125 , will it worn me that it can’t. Make it because my f is 3.5 ? dose this camera take the picture in any condition ?
