Modern Classic SLRs Series :
Nikon F4 Series Professional SLR camera models - Message Board/Guestbook

Nikon F4 - The first F-class professional camera model that offers autofocusing. It was regarded as one of the most versatile F-model of all time as virtually all Nikkor lenses that produced thus far be used EFFECTIVELY with the camera. It was also the first F-class SLR that virtually depends on electronic/barry power all its function. Despite its AF features were beginning to shown some sign of age when compared with many modern Nikon SAF models that kept surfacing; the Nikon F4 still remains a hot favorite among many working pro and serious amateurs. This section is aimed to supplement the content of the Nikon F4 site to address other issues not being addressed in the site and you may also make good use of it to share common knowledge & exchanging experience with the camera. Some of the opinion presented within the site was specifically my personal experience and I do not wish to influence any decision prior to any potential purchases or disposal. I just received a MF-23 film back for my F4. Your site claims that there is no place to take notes like on MF-17. According to the instruction manual, the white rectangle on the lower right below the LCD is for exactly that. The manual says "memo board (use soft-lead pencil w/eraser)"

Thanks for a very informative site. I Bet Nikon themselves reference your site.

Pat

I have a Nikon F4e and its has non standard shutter speeds as mentioned of 350sec and 750sec.Its serial is 24739## and in 1st class condition.there id no P after the serial so I am not sure
if its a NPS press version or not?its somthing I hope someone could help me with.Because I am not sure if the F4 had a P after the serial# as the F3 did.I d like to know of its value as I paid very little for it.But I feel sure it has great value compaired to F4 and F4s.
