Nikon F4 Professional Series SLR camera(s)

I got a F4 body as a gift last month from a close friend.
Though I am presently using two Nikon D90 bodies,the F4 is in a class of its own. The pleasure of just holding the camera ( the look, the feel, the weight, the retro-dials ) is just magical. I do shoot a couple of frames every week just to hear the heavenly shutter-sound & to keep it functional.

Right now, it is my favorite Nikon : )

HI; I HAVE JUST PURCHASED NIKON 401S WITH NO LENS JUST THE BODY THIS CAMERA WORKS ON ALL SHUTTER SPEEDS BUT NOT ON AUTO IS THIS BECAUSE I DONT HAVE A LENS OR IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CAMERA HOPE YOU CAN HELP MANY THANKS GRAHAM

I read somewhere that Nikon will CLA and put a new rubberized skin on the F4--like the textured on on the F5. Is that true?
Also, has Nikon quit doing a CLA for the F4?

I recently was shooting with my f4 and whenever i press the shutter release button it advances to the next frame. If i change the film or open the back it works until around the 7th frame. The red light beside r2 lights up. please help me out. Much appreciated!
