I have an oportunity is buy a mildly used F4 for a fair price (with a nice lens) but the camera has developed an issue. After rewinding the film and remove the canister, the camera has now hung. It will no longer autofocus, meter or fire the shutter in any mode. Some LCD info is evident in the veiwfinder. A red LED on the top left of the camera blinks non-stop. This, eventually, drains the batteries and nothing I try solves the issue of non-function.

Nikon F4S body in great condition SN 95xxxx (late model). Camera in great shape--not a beater. One minor scuff on lower back trim. No dents or dings. Everything works perfectly. The F4 is great because it works with either AF or MF lenses.
Also included is the MB-20 grip that makes the body considerably smaller. The camera (in both forms) can be seen at

Also included is the original focusing screen and the screen with the 45-degree split image.
I'm asking $350 for the camera , MB-20 grip and two screens (plus shipping). I'm not interested in selling the MB-20 separately (highly sought after item).

We have a few Nikon D2Xs camera's and I'm Trying to find the Camera Chip fix so that I can over ride the shutter speed so that I can have a flash sync speed of 640 or higher. Can anyone direct me to a company that sells the chip or program to fix the camera to solve my problem.

Which Nikon F4s's should be avoided by their serial number sequence? Now that I can afford my dream camera, I'm wondering which ones I shouldn't purchase. The f4s reviews that listed this information in photo.net are no longer posted, making room for newer models. This past weekend the shutter of my F4 acted as tho it was sluggish or delayed.
The camera was mounted on a tripod using the Nikkor 500mm F4 P lens and a Nikon 1.4 extender and fired using a Nikon mechanical cable release. Shutter speed was 1/250 at F5.6, aperature priority, OAT about 68 degrees and if I remember right, the mirror was up both times. The first time it happened, I thought huh... maybe it was just me? After a few more shots, it happened again, same thing. I checked the cable release and no problem found.
This problem only happened with this lens and extender combination. Didnt happen with any of the other lenses in use or the 500mm lens without the extender.
Can anyone tell me what may have been or what is the likely problem?

Asking $2000 [negotiable and open to reasonable offers]. The equipment is in excellent condition.I would prefer to find a buyer who will appreciate it. The camera has been serviced by Nikon and operates flawlessly. There are no scratches or heavy wear on the camera or lenses.

The gear is housed in a 1600 Series Pelican Case and includes: SB15 & SB24 Flash, remote & cords,2X teleconverter, 18mm Tameron, 24mm Nikkor AF, 50mm Nikkor,500mm Tamron SP Mirror[Macro], 28-85mm Nikkor AF, 75-300mm Nikkor AF, Tameron SP 200-500 Telephoto [5.6]. How much should I consider asking considering the equipment is in excellent condition? Any help would be appreciated.
