I am the proud owner of a Nikon FA system which I used very successfully from 1983 - 1991. I have used it only on vacations until 1995. Everything works well, but have been using a point and shoot (Nikon 500S) and waiting for the right time to get into Digital. I only discovered this site this evening more or less by accident, but find it to be very interesting. I would consider selling the FA system, which includes 4 lenses (3 are Nikon - 28mm, 50mm and 50-135mm, 1 is Quantaray 75-300mm), flash unit Speedlight SB-16, filters, bag, ets., but have no idea what its value is. If there is any interest out there, you can email me accordingly. You can make an offer, I can always refuse.

Like many other FA owners...I'm also without a manual.
I finally picked up a FA after many years of wanting one (a nice way to put it) and found that the metering (at least on the 1st roll) is dead-on. Wish I hadn't waited so long now. Great camera -- for those of you in considering the purchase. Back to my original request -- does anyone know where I can get a manual (paper or softcopy) so I can ensure I'm using my FA to it's capabilities. I'd truly appreciate any help.

I have an old DR-2 Nikon right angle finder. I would like to use it with several newer Nikon cameras I own -- F5 , D1x, N80, N65, especially the D1x. The diameter of the threaded end is smaller than the D1x's eyepiece. Does anyone know where I can find adaptor/adaptors to mate the DR-2 to any of these cameras? Thanks, Bill Manley

I have a Nikon FA whereby the shutter curtain (the plastic shutter) somehow got twisted and needs to be replaced. I sent it to Nikon and they said they coiuld not find a shutter for it. Would appreciate hearing from anyone that might lead to a shutter replacement for the camera.

Does ANYone know where i can get a finger grip for my FA? Have any extras lying around you want to get rid of? I've looked everywhere it seems and although it's not that important, i would love to have one. Nikon FA is truly world class. I sold my two N90s bodies and got a basic black FA. Next....nikon rangefinder?
