I am looking for either the MR1 or MR3 verticle shutter accessory for the MD12 motor drive. I also need a new electrical contact cover for my Nikon FA as the present one has the threads stripped and will not screw in.

Have a total of 12 Nikon 35mm SLR's. Two Nikon FA cameras that I have used extensively with pleasure. Great manual camera with never a bit of trouble. They have been my traveling companions over many miles and years. I try and respect the camera and don't bash them around to the extent that they look nearly new. Friends laugh at me while traveling and shooting as I am always wiping them off with a soft cloth - especially around an ocean environment. Also shoot Nikon F, F2 & F4.

Hi--
I am looking for the little slotted cover that protects the electrical contacts when a motor drive is not in use. Mine seems to have the threads stripped, and so I must tape the cover on when the drive attachement is off. Does anyone know of a resource where I may find one?
Thanks!
J.P. Doyle

Nikon FA gone faulty. When using the film advance lever on my FA it does not cock the shutter. Opening the back reveals that the shutter is operating - to a certain degree, but will not fire until I manually turn the film take up spool a couple of times. I can hear a click (the shutter doesn't seem to move any further when this click can be heard) then the shutter is cocked and can be fired again. Does this sound like an expensive repair job? IS this a common FA fault?? Any comments are greatly appreciated.
