Everytime when I see someone mentioning the XD-7, it was just being referred as the world's first multimode SLR while information on the great XK camera was so scarce that as if Minolta wants to shy away from others. Although I understand these two were great cameras of yesteryears but I don't totally write off them as a perfect used entry cameras. Does anyone know where I can obtain a replacement focus screen for my XD7? The original is still usable but is quite badly marked (not dust/hairs) and I'd like to replace it if possible. Thanks.2. From : Daryl (trooper547@yahoo.com)

Hi I'm using a Minolta X-700 for Black and White Photography I. I'm having extreme difficulty getting a shutter speed running. I tried changing my aperture reading to see if it would get the shutter reading, sometimes it does and other times it doesn't get a reading at all? Any Ideas. I took a roll today hardly getting a shutter reading, will this affect the negatives?6. From : Mike marshall (ccpaint@logantele.com)

I work at a self storage place and a woman that had a unit at my work died, so her nephew got everything in the unit... and threw it ALL away. I went dumpster diving and came across brownie junior (1936-1942) and i also found a Minolta srt 201. I cant use the brownie but i can use the minolta... i just dont know how. I took me 2 days to figure out how to open it up to put film in, but i dont know how to wind the film to take a picture. Help anyone?8. From : Daniel Andera (dandera@wi.rr.com)

I have an old XD-11 that needs repair on the film advance lever.
My repair shop said it was not worth it to fix, rather I should replace it.
Does anyone know a good repair shop?

I was wondering if there is a LED indicator on the XD-7/11 like the needle I've seen on another manual camera I've used. I believe it was for indicating on whether your shot was under exposed or over exposed.
