Everytime when I see someone mentioning the XD-7, it was just being referred as the world's first multimode SLR while information on the great XK camera was so scarce that as if Minolta wants to shy away from others. Although I understand these two were great cameras of yesteryears but I don't totally write off them as a perfect used entry cameras. Hi everyone I have just stripped and rebuilt a 85mm f1.7 MC lens for my ageing but working XM. Two problems, lens does not stop at 1 meter but winds out on the helicoid, I've lost the little ballbearing that gives the aperture the 'click' stops. Any suggestions ?2. I have a Minolta XK...it hasn't worked for many years but I would like to get it running. I have the manual and have tried everything without getting it to work. No one will repair it. The mirror is locked up and the film advance is frozen. I followed the instructions in the manual on how to undo this situation but nothing happens. I purchased it new many years ago and used it occasionally. By the time it malfunctioned Minolta would not repair it and it has been stored since. If anyone has advice or knows exactly how to fix this problem please help. Thanks.
