I was wondering if I deceided to buy a used camera which model by minolta except the XG1 I could use with my lenses and if there are more than one which would be the best camera ! Thanks, Connie

I just bought an XD11/7 but the little grey film take up spool is cracked in two (common problem I thinK?). How can I dismantle the wind lever mechanism? Will undoing the screw where the autowinder attaches on the camera base enable me to lift the spool up? Can anyone help? does anyone know what I am on about? Thankyou in Advance? Please help me before I damage the camera trying to fix it...

RE: XD11 lockup

I'm not sure if this relates to your problem, but I have had similar difficulties in the past with mine. Number 1, make sure that your batteries are in top condition. Mine was intermittent, and it seemed that working the shutter alot with no film helped free it up--it had been sitting around unused for years. I haven't had the problem since getting fresh batteries and working the shutter, then making sure I use the camera more often. I'm afraid I don't have any other suggestions other than a camera repairman.

Hi, I have an XD-11, and I am taking a beginners Photography class at UCF. I was wondering if you had come across any odd problems with these cameras. It won't allow me to take a picture unless the shutter speed is on B or O. at every other setting, it locks up. Do you think you can help me? Fleur Marlin
