Everytime when I see someone mentioning the XD-7, it was just being referred as the world's first multimode SLR while information on the great XK camera was so scarce that as if Minolta wants to shy away from others. Although I understand these two were great cameras of yesteryears but I don't totally write off them as a perfect used entry cameras. Hey, everyone: I have a Minolta maxxum 7000. I opened the battery compartment to find that all four double A batteries had leaked. I cleaned it out (did not use anything other than my fingers) as best as I could. I didn't want to use anything else fearing further damage. I put new batteries in (I didn't really expect it to work, but...). Naturally, the camera did not power on.
Is there anything I can do that might possibly save me a trip to the repair shop? Is there a safe way to clean the battery compartment to remove the residue? Help!5. From : Taia (CAZZO@HOTMAIL.COM)
