Everytime when I see someone mentioning the XD-7, it was just being referred as the world's first multimode SLR while information on the great XK camera was so scarce that as if Minolta wants to shy away from others. Hello, I have found your site to be very helpfull and informative. I have used several different camera systems, the first was a Pentax ME which I found to be superb as an entry level camera, Later I purchased an Olympus OM-10 which although it was old it still produced excellent images. I now have a system consisting of an XD7 and an XG2. Now, I know we all know about the XD7/XD11, but I cant find any information specifically on the XG2, my question is - is the XG2 an uprated XG1? or is it simply the "America/rest of the world" differentiation as seen in the naming of the XD7/XD11? Both camera bodies are in good condition, accept the same lenses, and produce great photography. I would reccomend either to the entry level photographer.
Cheers

Hi, nice site! I have a Minolta XG7, which has been with me since 1977. What is the possibility of making repairs to this body, as I do not want or need an Auto focus lens? If you have any info on this, or sites you can recommend, please mail. Thanks

I have found the XD-7's meter more sophisticated than Canon's New F.1, besides, it is compact and userfriendly. Also, MC & MD Rokkor always takes good pictures and their prices is reasonable that most people can afford.

Hello. I found your page through google and I also have an old XK. I've had a hard time finding accessories for it since it's too old. Any idea where can I find stuff for this one? particularly the focusing screens and the magnifying finder. I much apreciate any info you might have. Adolfo Villanueva

Hi Minolta-family!
I have always been very pleased with my XD-7/11 which I bought many years before in a second hand-store!
I worked well for a long time but now it is doing crazy things! When I want to find out the right shutter release time and press down the button the LEDs are "jumping" up and down and I can get no mesure! I tried to change the batteries but it did not help! So I wanted to ask if anybody had had the same problem and what helped for I would like to use my favorite Camera for some more years!
Thanks to everyone who can help me!
Stephan

I am in need of two end caps for the battery pack for a XK Motor. Does anyone know if these are still available and where they can be obtained?

Thanks.

I am just learning to use an XD11 that my husband purchased over 20 years ago. I am looking for compatible lenses. I have a line on a 200mm MC 4.5 Rokkor PE. Will this telephoto work on my camera? Thanks for any help.

I own an X700 and shoot a lot of macro with a nice MD 50mm f3.5 with a 1:1 tube. Anyone think using an SRT would produce better results due to the mirror lockup?
