Everytime when I see someone mentioning the XD-7, it was just being referred as the world's first multimode SLR while information on the great XK camera was so scarce that as if Minolta wants to shy away from others. I have an XK body with waist level and the standard range finder. I'm looking for a good place to have it repaired, since Minolta tells me they no longer support this camera. The body is in excelent shape but there is something wrong with the sutter control. Bruce

I have inherited a Minolta XD11, with flash unit, a wide-angle lens and a zoom lense. There is, however, no manual or paperwork with it. Does anyone have this or information about how I might get it? Thank you.

Can anyone fill me in on his experiences with a MInolta XG-M or XE-5 (or naturally similar cameras based on the same bodies). I am particularly interested in their durability, and want to have some criteria for judging if a used one would still be a sensible investment.

I have a Minolta XD-7 which has a problem. If I put in new batteries, I notice that the metering is always on, which explains why the batteries die quite quickly. Also all the shutter speeds seem to generate the same interval, i.e. 1 second seems to be the same as selecting 1/30 second so I suppose the shutter timing is wrong. I have tried to get this repaired while visiting Singapore but they told me that parts were not available. Does anyone have any ideas of where I can get this repaired ? Thanks, in anticipation. -John

Wondering if anyone knows if the old SRT102 Minoltas have "Depth of Field Preview?" How about "Mirror Lockup?" If so, How do you use it? I was given one. They are a bit before my time. Great camera. Takes great pix and works fine. Have 3 lens'. Any help would be great. Thanks, Brian,

Hi All, I have been reading these pages for a while and have enjoyed them. I write now to tell you that I will be selling my XK motor on e bay in about a week. I have to photograph it and get that stuff set up. So in the meantime, I thought I would offer it to any of my friends at this page first (and my yahoo group). If you are interested contact me at Vinman163@attbi.com

I've been working with my Minolta XD-7 for nearly 15 years (I also have an X-300 which is at least twelve years old). Until now,I have had no problems whatever with either camera, and I am hoping that they will still last a while. I am considering the purchase of another (used) body - perhaps an XG-M, or an XE-5 - something constructed entirely out of metal. I find plastic cameras garbage! I recently found a nearly perfect Minolta 132x flash which I can use with both cameras. I have no intention of giving up the Minolta system in the near future.

I am amateur in taking pics, but I really enjoy it. I have a Minolta Dynax 300si camera. And I need a special accessory - lenses, or rings to make possible taking of closer pictures or pics of small objects. I know that this is not the appropriate place to put my need, but I hope that someone could help me. I cannot afford to buy a new accessory, because of the high price. Every suggestion will be welcome.

Hello. I was given a Minolta XD11 this weekend by a friend who bought it at a yardsale for $2. And I really want to take it out for a spin but I don't know how to use it. What I really need is a manual of some sort. Can anyone help me?
