Everytime when I see someone mentioning the XD-7, it was just being referred as the world's first multimode SLR while information on the great XK camera was so scarce that as if Minolta wants to shy away from others. Although I understand these two were great cameras of yesteryears but I don't totally write off them as a perfect used entry cameras. I too have had an XK for 17 years though mine recently stopped working. I sent it in for repair--the tabs that hold the view-finder in place are missing/broken, and was informed the part could not be located. Any help rescuing this camera is appreciated.2. the XK i've been using the last 3 years isnt working, I could repair for about $100. or get newer model, my problem is that I want to keep my other lenses(Tele Rokkor-PF 1:2.8 f=135mm plus a very good macro(MC Macro Rokkor-QF 1:3.5 f=50mm) is there such a thing as a "T" mount to use my lenses on the newer models (Maxxum 70 or like it) Do I have to stay with a Minolta Body? Can anyone tell me of a comparable set up? I've been very happy with the quality of my lenses.3. From : Clint Ingold (clinti@iprimus.com.au)

I have 2 Minolta XD5s and I love them. The first was my father's and I bought a second as soon as I could find one. I am hoping to buy a third ! The build quality, ease of use and sheer good looks of this camera are second to none. Beautiful to hold, marvellous to work with and so reliable. Keep your modern plastic cameras ! Give me an old XD any day !5. From : Arthur (aweis98@aol.com)

I have just bought an XK. It is beautiful and works great, except that I cannot see the information in the finder. Does it have a bulb? I can just make it out if I hold it near a bright light, and can see the needle moves. Any suggestions? Arthur6. From : Daniel Andera (dandera@wi.rr.com)

I have a minolta XD11 camera. I know this is not a TTL type system, but if I connect the flash (Sunpak 433d), and set the camera to shutter priority (at synch speed or less) will the metering system meter for the output of the flash and adjust the aperture accordingly?9. I have an XD11 I bought nearly 30 years ago and I'm having trouble finding someone to repair it. Does anyone know of a good repair facility in the US that still repairs these older cameras and has been happy with the service.
