I was recently given an XD11 and was wondering what the "s" setting on the mode selector is for. I have also read some of the other postings about the shutter only working in the "o" setting on the shutter speed dial or the self timer. I had the same problem and found the batteries to be dead. When not using you must turn the dial to "x" or the batteries will drain. At least that's what I've learned about my XD11.

I'm looking for an XK 55mm zoom lense (w/bayonet style adaptor) Also any others. I've got a really swell macro and closeup set and a good portrait lense. Just looking to broaden my horizons a bit. Also looking to find out the best possible flash unit for just everyday type use.

Hi all, I've just acquired a Minolta XK (no motor). Anyone have a manual for it? PDF file or scans of the pages would be fine. I've tried their online support. Nothing there for anything this old. http://www.minoltausa.com/eprise/main/MinoltaUSA/MUSAContent/CPG/CPG_SupportCenter/CPGSupport_Manua Cheers,Dave

I saw your website and was wondering if you could help me on a problem i have with the camera. its just the shutter speed dial...when i switch to anything above "X" 1,2,4,...1000...it will not let me take a shot...its locked or stuck, im not sure of the problem. but when i use the timer though, it will let me take the shot (i know that is not the right way..) something is wrong with it...this is the problem although i can get the "O" and "B" selector to work... even without the timer...please help me on this problem if you can, thank you so much sincerely, jonathan chen

I was jus t given an old XD11 in perfect shape with a very complete selection of lenses (also in perfect condition)!!! Does anyone know of someone producing a digital back for these old cameras??? The optics are soooo much better than the current cameras, I assume that someone has taken the time to adapt current CCD's to these old bodies. If you know someone, please let me know. Thanks

My XD-11's been in the drawer a few years. Put in new batteries & film. Shutter will not release normally (in M, A, or S mode). It will if the shutter speed selector is set to "B" or "O", OR if I use the self-timer lever. (Would seem since self-timer works then the operating button itself is working ok.) Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi. I am not able to wind my Minolta XD7 anymore. When using the autowinder screw at the bottom by a tool it works. But no way by the manual winder. My dealer told me that no spare parts are available anymore and don't want to look for the defect. Has anyone experience in repairing this camera and want to help me doing it myself? Another question about the sructured glass inside: Is there a way to clean it, maybe spiritus or alcohol bath? Sincerely, Massimo B
