Hi Miles,
This camera and finder were used with Nikon slit lamps for examining eye balls. It's quite uncommon.

New to this board, so hi everyone!
Anyways, I was on Ebay and came across this in the completed listings:

Sold for $416 I think. I lost the link to the original auction. Other than the finder, it also has a sticker on the rewind knob. The auction description did not shed any light on its origin, other than that it was bought as surplus.
Can anyone here shed some light on this? Or are we likely looking at someone's one-off creation?
Thanks!4. From : PETER (peterjohnson5152@virginmedia.com)

Hello
I've a question about a F2SB (DP-3 finder) and a DS-1 attachment. Can they work together? I think that DS-11 works with both F2S (DP-2 finder) and F2SB(DP-3 finder). What about my DS-1? Can I mount it on my F2SB without damage?
Another question :can I use AI modified, AI and AIS lenses with the upper combination, or only pre-AI ones?
Thanks a lot for your wonderful site
Chris

I have a Nikon F2 and the dial controlling the shutter speed under the ASA Dial seems to be stuck, moving only between B and 1. I have tried everything but think I must be missing something?8. From : frederick (crystalwoodsfb@bigpond.com)

My F2 serial number is 7564606 and it has a prism as shown on the NIKON F2 HISTORY black F2 with lens hood [rhs camera]. The prism has the small apeture window north-east above the last "N" in NIKON .
I have searched everywhere but cannot find the designation for the camera and Prism unit. The camera has a MD-2 motor drive unit.
Could you please advise-
1. what prism I have [designation number]
2. what is the correct name for the lenses associated with this camera, as I wish to purchase several NIKON lenses as follows [ it has a bayonet fitting]:
2.1 - close up
2.2 - @ 35 to 105 approx.
2.3 - @ 105 to 200 or 300 approx
Your help is appreciated
Frederick

Hi Frank,
The behaviour of your F2 is quite abnormal. I suggest you to have it serviced, and if it is not in great looking condition then retire it and buy a better one.

Soevr
