I own a Nikon F2 that I purchased in Subic Bay, PI in 1975. After many years of fine service, I would like to acquire a "B" screen. My eyes ain't what they used to be.

Here is my question- Does the F2a AND F2 use the same B screen? I have a B screen for my FE as well. Can that be used in the F2? I don't want to experiment until I know fer sure.

Thanks

Hi Martin,

A F2T with serial number 75xxxxx is definitely not genuine. It's a black F2 repainted with texture paint.

Refards,

Sover

Hi Tim,

Only AI and AIS lenses can be mounted on DSLR cameras. DO NOT mount non-AI lenses on DSLRs, because they will break the plastic AI coupler on the DSLRs.

Regards,

Sover

I have a question regarding my F2 Photomic (serial no. 7600xxx). I know it was made in 1975 but am unsure if it is an F2 or an F2 S. It has a DP-2 viewfinder. What makes one an F2-S? I have to sell it so I want to be clear on what exactly I am offering. Your help is so appreciated!

You can get Nikon F2 Manuals at www.butkus.org/chinon/nikon.htm
Do give him a donation. I was given a F2 recently but without manual.

I have a F2 Photomic circa 1977. Just above the mirror there is some black material like plastic foam. Problem is the foam has disintegrated and left a sticky black mess some of which is now on the mirror. Does anyone know how to fix this or where I could get it fixed please?
