I have a Nikon F2AS but only one 50mm lens for it. I'd like to purchase more lenses for it but I'm not quite sure which ones to get. I'd like to get a good macro lens and a good lens for landscape. I was recommended the 105mm nikon macro and 24mm wide angle. Where is the best place to find these lenses on line? I'd like to find them used but in good condition. This website has helped me immensely!! I love it! Thanks Eric3. From : Ron (uncle9@hotmail.com)

Please help: I have a D100 and an old 500mm Reflex Nikkor. After checking newsgroups I had the courage to mount it and set the D100 to M. Took some great shots. Now after reading Thom Hogan and some others ("Do Not Use") I'm worried. If the thing mounts without forcing and takes pictures, can it damage the camera? It is a non-ai lens, but as I said, mounted without force. Does anyone know for sure if this lens can somehow damage the D100, and if so, how?
Can you reply to my e-mail as well, as I'm very new to all this! THANKS, Ron4. From : James Lai (jimbob83@hotmail.com)

Chris, assuming there are no defects in your finder or your F2 body, your DP-12 will work with any F2 including your 77xxxxx.
Yee Meen Chai, your pre-AI finder will couple with the metering prong on the AIS lenses just like it would with a pre-AI lens. Keep in mind that you will have to twist the aperture ring to the maximum after you mount the lens in order to index the meter, but after that you're good to go.5. Hi there,Since yesterday I am the proud owner of a Nikon F2 Photomic. The camera I've used before was a Zenit E,the russian built tank.I taken numerous beautiful pictures with it,but after 35 years very intensive use it has worn out.I never have used the F2,but I have used a F401 very much also. This afternoon I am going to take my first pics with the F2 in Amsterdam(I live there)and I hope I can tell you soon about my experiences, and can ask you some questions(I sure will have them).
Cheers,
Bart.8. From : Yee Meen Chai (yeemeen.chai@verizon.net)

I want to get a used F2 but have only AIS lenses. I cannot fully understand what I may lose or need to do to get the camera to meter accurately if I get a camera without the AI prisms (DP11/12) and get one with a DP1, 2,or 3. Thanks in advance for your help.9. From : Chris (momtonathanandtwodogs@rogers.com)

Hi, Glad to find this board. Is it true that it is better to use the AS finder (DP 12) on a later (serial no. 79xxxxx or later) F2? I have a chance to purchase a F2AS but the AS finder was not purchased with the F2 body, and the body is a 77xxxxx serial number. Thanks in advance. Chris10.
