I'm buying a F2 Photomic and I'd like to know if I can use alkaline LR44 batteries without problem. I read in this board that SR44 batteries would give better results. Why? Does anyone know the difference? Thanks to anyone who can help me with this.

This is a great homepage and I learned a lot about my F2. When I bought my used F2 there was a screen inside. It looks like an E-screen, but on the smaller side there is written in red letters: A Nikon Japan and then a small red point. Does anyone know something about this screen ? Thanks Ulf
