Hi Lance & Nick,

If you cannot see the meter, aperture and shutter speed readings through the viewfinder, then either the angle of the mirror inside the finder is wrong or the mirror has fallen off. You can check/adjust the mirror by opening the finder from the bottom. (Undo eight screws).

If you still have problems, then I can help further.

Regards,

Sover

HELLO, I, TOO, HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THE NEEDLE IS NOT VISIBLE IN THE VIEWFINDER, BUT SEEMS TO WORK PERFECTLY FROM THE TOP OF THE PRISM. I TOOK SOME OUTDOOR PICTURES USING THE "SUNNY F16 RULE" AND THE NEEDLE WAS RIGHT ON. THE FINAL IMAGES WERE PERFECTLY EXPOSED.

ANY IDEAS ON WHY THIS HAPPENS? PLEASE ADVISE.

HELLO, MY F2 WITH DP1 HEAD JUST BEGAN MALFUNCTIONING. SPECIFICALLY, THE DP1 WORKS BEAUTIFULLY BUT IT SUDDENLY LOST ITS TTL FUNCTIONALITY SUCH THAT I NOW CAN ONLY METER EXTERNALLY BY USING THE METER AT THE TOP OF HEAD. IS THIS A COMMON PROBLEM? WHAT IS THE FIX/ I'VE USED THE THING FOR 32 YEARS FLAWLESSLY AND WITH NO PROBLEM.

THANKS VERY MUCH. TAKE CARE.

HELLO, I HAVE AN OLD F2 THAT HAS FUNCTIONED FLAWLESSLY FOR 30 YEARS. IT HAS A DP1 PHOTOMIC HEAD, WHICH STILL FUNCTIONS IN THAT I CAN OBTAIN METER READINGS FROM THE TOP OF IT. RECENTLY, HOWEVER, THE VISUAL COUPLING, THAT WHICH ALLOWS ME TO METER TTL, HAS MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED. IS THIS A COMMON PROBLEM? IS THERE AN EASY, OR COMPLEX, FIX? THE HEAD HAS NEVER SO MUCH AS BEEN REMOVED FROM ATOP THE BODY.

THANKS FOR ANY INPUT

I have a Nikon F2 Photomic circa 1975. Does anybody know the battery number. I know it calls for 2 1.5V silver oxide, but I can't find the number.

I am planing to purchase a flash for N2020 I was told a SB28 would work fine, I have seen some that tilt and turn and have adjustments for the ASA type of film. I am not trying to be a pro I just wont to take photos inside and out, is there a computor inside that sets the timing (etc)to the flash I should know about? I have a wedding in the spring.I know I will burn up a bunch of film. At this time I am taking photos of my neighbors Harleys and race and show cars. the quality is #1 they have been making large prints and Christmas cards, its that good!
Thanks..your friend, Keith.
