I bought a NIKON F2A few weeks ago. Everything seems to be fine except I am having a hard time reading the aperture in the view finder. I cleaned the window (opening for the aperture display)but it didn't help. I didn't have this problem with DP-1 finder.
Anybody knows about this problem? Any suggestion?
Thanks,

Would anyone on the board know of a source for (or alternatives to) the NiCad batteries used in the DS-2/DS-12 EE aperture control units (Nikon battery model DN-1)? Thanks.4. From : Jeff Henderson (fotoman91@yahoo.com)

Just bought an F2 and am not clear on what lenses are compatible with this body. Do you just simply need a lens with the meter coupling on it such as the AI lenses have? By the way, I do have a metered prism on my camera if that makes a difference on which lenses are compatible.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The f2 is on of the best cameras every made. I was tempted to sale it but I just could not sale the baby. My light meter was broken just took is to get fix. Not bad for owning a camera since 1978. I will keep it and us it as a second but not second rate camera. Anyone else shares my view.

Has anyone seen or heard of an adapter that would allow the use of an MD-2 without having an MB-1. What I'm wondering is did any of the battery pack makers ever come up with a connector that would go directly from the pack to the drive. I gave up my F2as several years ago in favor of an fm2 with the md12 but recently came across an f2as that was identicle to my last f2 (black and a little brassy) and it has a drive but no battery pack. When I shot it manually I was sold again but don't really want to look for a mb-1 if there is a (quantuum pack, ie) alternative. thanks for any info, Jeff7. From : Link (LinkFilm@aol.com)

I'm looking for a good repair shop in Canada or NY familiar with servicing DS-12 EE Aperture control units. Battery check light works and gear drive arms goes up but when unit is mate with DP-12 finder on camera body the DS-12 drains the battery in body and nothing works (no meter and EE controler works). Nikon Canada couldn't help me. Need help. Thanks! Anthony.10.
