First, I just want to say how much I appreciate Sover and his vast amount of knowledge and his willingness to share it with the Nikon F & F2 community. Thanks.
He was kind enough to answer a question I had, and when still confused, explained it even further.... Thanks Sover...
Now to Mark
"...I've decided to put them back into commission after looking at KODACHROMEs from years past. Forgot how good KODACHROME looked."
Better hurry, Kodak is stopping production of Kodachrome... a real real shame.
Anyway, great site, for a great camera The Nikon F2...

Just found this great site!
Have two F2 and a Nikkormat EL and a battery of "glass" to go along with them that have been sitting in the closet for the better part of 30 years. I've decided to put them back into commission after looking at KODACHROMEs from years past. Forgot how good KODACHROME looked.3. From : Sover Wong (soverf2repair@yahoo.com)

Hi Jim,
I've seen this problem before, but for some reason I did not record it in my database. I think the problem is cause by shutter speeds being off. So I suggest you to have this camera serviced.
Regards,

Greetings,
This week I bought a Nikon F2 Dp-1 on ebay. I've had a Nikkormat FTn for 30 years or so, and wanted a 2nd Nikon body. The camera works well and my trial roll looks good. The problem is that the slow shutter speeds from 1/80 sync down to 1 only trip when my finger leaves the shutter. So I can make 1/15 down to 1 sec work by removing my finger quickly, but 1/30 and 1/60 (and sync 1/80) are a problem with the shutter. I got around it with my 1st roll by setting the self timer, which activated the shutter OK. I have the repair manual and today I unscrewed the shutter T and L switch, and removed the bottom plate. Nothing seemed to be hanging up there, so I suspect it is in the slow shutter speed area inside. After I reassembled it I shot another roll and it still does the same thing. I am wondering if anyone is aware of this problem and has any suggestions as to why its happening. It does take wonderful pictures.

What a great site!
I have an old Nikon F2 photomic camera. I just love it. I think that's the best camera ever made by any photographic company.
I also have a few old F lenses as well as some first Ai lenses from late seventies. I always thought that they are the same in quality, same construction. Is tht true? Or are the older F lenses version are better?

I am looking for a battery Yuasa 225F2. It is for a Nikon EE Aperture Control Attachment
Unit DS-2 for F2SB Photomic. The camera is close to 25years old. Is there a substitue battery still in production?
Thanks, Dennis8. From : Sover Wong (soverf2repair@yahoo.com)

hello,
What would be the best internet sight to sell my Nikon F.
I believe it is an F as I bought it in late 73 or early 74
Maybe someone can identify it for me. the serial number is 7400803, the FTn head 737917 and the 50 mm f 1.4 lens 1345720
Anyone any idea of its value and the best place to sell this item other than my local ebay?
kind regard
Ric Wolt
