I NEED TO REMOVE THE BATTERY BOX ON MY NIKON F2 AS THE BATTERY CONTACT AT THE BOTOM OF THE BOX HAS SLIPPED INSIDE THE BASE (PROBABLY BROKEN). AFTER I REMOVE THE CAMERA BOTTOM ,CAN SOMEONE TELL ME THE SUCCEEDING STEPS IN REMOVING THE BATTERY BOX TO FIND WHAT CAUSED THE ABOVE PROBLEM . MANY THANKS FOR ANY HELP! DAVE LONG

I have had my Nikon F2 for many years. It is by far my most cherished camera. I use the DP-12 finder most of the time and the DP-2 and plain prism finder occasionally. The resulting exposures are accurate and can be counted on. I like the weight and feel of a professional camera. It helps steady the shot and gives me some degree of exercise carrying it for the day. The Nikon optics is a glory to behold and they compliment the camera perfectly. Comparing the Nikon system to other manufactures cameras of the same vintage and newer, in my opinion; they are still playing catch up. It will be a sad day for me if digital takes over completely and film is no longer available for old reliable....

Hi,i have this Nikon camera ,i take it is a F" with the following number F2 7840901 can anyone give me a year of manufacture for it plus this has a very srtange view finder on it looks more like a binocular veiw finder,anyone any ideas about this one also
