Modern Classic SLRs Series : |
Each of these three featured Minolta SLR camera models represent an era of its own to lead and has great influence over the entire photographic community. Unlike the two great Minolta cameras of yesteryears in the XK/XM/X1 and the XD-7, these newer series of Minolta classic served a different segment of users. I just purchased a used Minolta Drive 1 and did not get a manual with it. Thought that I could easily find one on the internet, but to no avail. Would love to get a copy of the manual and was wondering if any of you could help me in my quest?

I had this setup for years but now I have turned digital. I don't have this issue with the X700 + MD. I think a cheap way is to send the hardware for a third party serviceman for a check out. Your camera deserves this.4. From : Question (nospam@nomail.com)

I have 3 minolta X-700 and 1 X-570 (I like carrying different kindsof film at the same time... and parts are difficult to find!). Since I am using the MD-1 motor (I have 2 in fact...), I've noticed something strange and I was wondering if it was normal or not. Using the MD-1 is draining rapidly the battery of the X-700 body. When 2 batteries can be good for a year, with the MD-1 there out within a afternoon! Is this a normal behavior of the X-700/MD-1 system? Anyone can share his knowledge on this issue with my system ?
Merci pour ces quelques minutes! (thanks for these few minutes).

Will my AF lenses from my maxxmum 7000 work with the new DSLR camera from Sony, specifically the new a100? Apparently Sony took over Minolta very recently and I know that the DSLR Minolta lenses will work but I am unsure because the lenses I have are from a film camera.6. Hi...I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a reputable...(and reasonable) repair shop for the following:
I have a Maxxum Dynax 9xi. The problem is the expansion card door. The buttons won't work. So I can't change settings like ISO, activate the self timer, etc. How much would it cost, and will it happen again over time? Thanks for your help.10. Hi...I love my Minolta X-700...a lot. I was hoping someone could help me with a repair issue it though. It seems like a simple enough fix: The film dial counter won't spring back to its original Zero position when you open the back cover. It only spins back half way or so. I suspect it's just a worn out spring, and seems like a simple fix. However, I've priced around and discovered the repair would be more than the camera cost originally. That doesn't make sense. By the way...the film advances perfectly. It's just the counter indicator not resetting. Can anyone help? Thanks much!
