Modern Classic SLRs Series : |
Each of these three featured Minolta SLR camera models represent an era of its own to lead and has great influence over the entire photographic community. Unlike the two great Minolta cameras of yesteryears in the XK/XM/X1 and the XD-7, these newer series of Minolta classic served a different segment of users. Unfortunately, these bodies have been long discontinued and you may even find it difficult to locate proper support even from their own creator, Minolta. Hello, I had a used Maxxum 7000 about 12 years ago and was VERY happy with it. All was lost in a house fire. I am now looking to purchase another used Maxxum yet I see there is now a 7000i? Can anyone help explain the differences in the two? I still have the 2800AF flash and was wondering if it will fit the 7000i? Based on experience, which model do you think I should purchase used? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, Shawn ~ maxxum_user@xemaps.com6. From : Tom Murray (tk.murray@verizon.net)

I have used my MINOLTA X700 now for 3 years, absolutely amazing results up till now: it seems to have a problem with the shutter- very rarely but it does sometimes open half way on the 1/60 second. Also, A-mode gives me unsatisfactory exposure ones in a while, I have to use compensation almost all the time when photographing in a less then bight day light condition. The exposure counter does not advance as well, but that I do not care for as much. What might be the problem? Please e-mail me with suggestions, thanks a million. Yevgeniy Shulga10. I have a Minolta x700, I bought this camera about 15 years ago. It has been working fine. Recently the winder is running tight and the counter does not go back to zero. It stays at around 14. Is there a service manual out there which can tell me how to open the gears and that portion of the camera to clean it out and lubricate. Any help will be most appreciated. Thanks
