Hello All I have an X700 from about 1981 or so. I have always loved it but the last several times I have used it it occasionally would ake pictures that were 2/3 black. Inspection shows the shutter screes is opening all the way then partially closing. It fully closes when it is done taking the picture. It didn't use it for a long time, so today I replaced the batteries. Before I replaced them it would do it most of the time, now that it has full power it does it every time. Is anyone familiar with this problem? What are my options? thx Dan

Can I answer my own post. Thanks to Kaiee Tahnn back on page 12 I undid the six screws holding the bright cover opposite to the battery box. Inside is a circular battery which I replaced with a CR2016. It cost me only UKP1.95. It all seems to work fine. Many thanks to the MIR newsgroup.

Hi, My Dynax 7000i mirror/film advance became stuck today and am not sure why. Any clues? Should I just take it to a repairer and not tamper with anything? It did become unstuck at one point but now it won't budge and I don't want to force it to.
