Each of these three featured Minolta SLR camera models represent an era of its own to lead and has great influence over the entire photographic community. I have a Minolta 7000 and after reading a post about changing the Lithum battery, I decided give it a try.
I carefully removed the six screws and then the battery slipped out, so I don't know whether the positive (+) contact should be facing up or facing down.

Also, I didn't notice which screws were long and which were short; I now noticed that three screws are short and three screws are long.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Bill

I need help identify something on the minolta maxxum 2800 Af Flash which attaches to the Minolta 7000 maxxum slr. I am giving this set to my grandaughter for a photo class and since I havent used it in ages, I seem to be missing a cord that goes on the front of the flash. It is a 4 prong opening. Does anyone know that that is for?
Thank you
Peggy

I bought a minolta 7000 in singapore in 1988 and I am still using it. It is a great camera but its plastic is withering away. The leather case has become useless due to fungus growth on it and also on tye camera body. The flash gun case is unaffected. I have trid many leather cleaning chemicals but in vain. Please suggest some remedy for it or show me a minolta outlet in India where I can buy a new camera case. I reside in Indian city of Bangalore. Also, do yoou have an exchange scheme under which I can economically exchange my minolta 7000 with your digital camera as film cameras are going to be obsolete soon. Please also name your service centre if any in Bangalore.
