Modern Classic SLRs Series : |
Each of these three featured Minolta SLR camera models represent an era of its own to lead and has great influence over the entire photographic community. Unlike the two great Minolta cameras of yesteryears in the XK/XM/X1 and the XD-7, these newer series of Minolta classic served a different segment of users. Unfortunately, these bodies have been long discontinued and you may even find it difficult to locate proper support even from their own creator, Minolta. Well, this site was created to serve and supplement (not compete) all existing owners and potential buyers, you may use this site for common support and share experience wherever it relates. I own a x-700 SLR MPS. I purchased a remote cord S from Konica Minolta and it will not plug into the socket on the bottom of my camera. It looks like it has the same basic electrical connection but it is not designed to mate to that cord. Plus, the enclosed instructions with the cord showed pins on the camera whereas mine has flat metal dots. Help.2. From : mugu (mugu@ABA.com)

I have a 7000i which I bought in 1991, and it gave great service until I went to India on business in 2003. It was August, very humid, landed at 12:30 AM, took a short ride to the hotel, and in the morning I noticed that the viewfinder led display had a semicircular shaped area which was light in color and there is no longer any data visible there. Approx 25 to 40 percent of the led.
Would like to know if it is repairable. Minolta no longer supports this camera.
Thanks,
Bob Kapalo4. From : Donald (donald@stewartopia.org)

Can anyone suggest a way to link my 7000i to studio flash with a PC cord? Is there some sort of hot shoe adapter for this - the FS1100 hot shoe from Minolta doesn't seem to offer this as a connection?
Many thanks!5. From : Jim (coach_kelly@hotmail.com)

I have a Minolta X-700. Everything appears to be working with the exeption that the frame/exposure counter does not advance. When I load file, all appears to go well but the fram counter never advances beyond "S". If you have any ideas as to how to remedy this problem, please let me know. Thanks!6. I have an x-700 with shutter / wind problem. The camera will not wind or take up new film. The arm is 'stopped' as if it is ready to snap a picture, but the button will not trigger the shutter. I have installed new batteries, but still have the problem. Any ideas????9. From : Dave (dneilson@whites.com)
