Each of these three featured Minolta SLR camera models represent an era of its own to lead and has great influence over the entire photographic community. Unlike the two great Minolta cameras of yesteryears in the XK/XM/X1 and the XD-7, these newer series of Minolta classic served a different segment of users. Unfortunately, these bodies have been long discontinued and you may even find it difficult to locate proper support even from their own creator, Minolta. I`ve owned my maxxum 7000 for about nine years but finaly gave up on it because I couldn`t locate any lens or an instruction manual. I am a novice photographer. Ijust read on your forum that I can use most new AF lens`s. . So now if someone could help me find a place where I can down load a manual everything would be wonderful. I`ve tried this one but can`t print the whole page.

I am a fellow owner of an X-700 experiencing the same frustration as other users: shutter is locked, film advance is locked - I have replaced the batteries (this corrected the problem once in the past), but still, no luck. All the electronics (light meter, beeping) appear to functioning properly so the camera is defintely receiving power. Has anyone found a resolution to this problem? (see posts from May 13, 17, 19...) I would greatly appreciate a response from anyone with a bit of light to shed on the issue. Thanks in advance.

My Maxxumm 7000 appears not to be focusing correctly. The only way I can get it to focus between shots is to turn the power switch off and on again. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this. I have checked everything and all seem in order. Thanks

I have used my Minolta Maxxum for 15 years, and it has been my life and travel companion through many parts of the world. Now I have run into a problem, the WindBase unit has to be replaced.
