Modern Classic SLRs Series : |
Each of these three featured Minolta SLR camera models represent an era of its own to lead and has great influence over the entire photographic community. Unlike the two great Minolta cameras of yesteryears in the XK/XM/X1 and the XD-7, these newer series of Minolta classic served a different segment of users. Unfortunately, these bodies have been long discontinued and you may even find it difficult to locate proper support even from their own creator, Minolta. Well, this site was created to serve and supplement (not compete) all existing owners and potential buyers, you may use this site for common support and share experience wherever it relates. I have recently aquired a minolta 7000.It came with a linear polarizing filter which would totally overexpose pictures.I purchased a circular polarizing filter which is doing the same thing. Is it from the brand I purchased or is this a common problem? I am sure with some practise I will be able to stop down to correct this. Any suggestions?2. From : Rae Jean (rjparent@localnet.com)

I just recently aquired a Minolta x-700 w/ two different lenses. I have figured out most everything except once basic and assential thing, how to get the film to advance. The film advance lever will only go 30 degrees and stops completley. No matter what I do it will not advance the film.. Any ideas? It seems to be "locked".3. From : Mike (michael110@prodigy.net)

MINT Maxxum 7000 for sale..If anyone is interested, I have a mint codition maxxum 7000, in its original camera case. I did take one roll of pictures, which came out blank. Sounds like it may have the problems described in this forum. HOWEVER, Im also looking to sell 2 Minolta Autofocus lenses. One is the stock lens, and the second is a 35mm to 105mm autofocus Minolta lens. Both lens are flawless and still work perfectly. I'l give this forum first dibs, but then im putting it on EBAY.4. Where can I find a replacement battery holder for my Minolta Maxxum 7000 AF camera. My original battery holder has some corrosion on it. I know there is a BH-70L which uses AA batteries and a BH-70S which uses AAA batteries but I can't find a reseller.
Any help would be appreciated.5. From : clayton werden (cwerden04@aol.com)

Hi,
I'm planning to buy secon hand camera.
My budget makes me to look for Minolta 7000 or Dynax 7000i.
What are the differences between them and which one is worth to buy.
Best Regards

Hi, I've owned an X-700 for years and it is my favourite tool. However, the shutter mechanism is on its last legs and judging by the comments on this page it appears to be a common problem. Does anybody know if Minolta replace whole shutter mechanisms or is there anyone in either America or Australia that offer a professional upgrade. The mechanism has already been "touched up" once and will not stand any more minor tinkering. Any advice to my email address please. Thankyou very much.9. From : Joe (bounty_hunter_ny@yahoo.com)

Please email me or reply to me here. Thanks.10.
