Each of these three featured Minolta SLR camera models represent an era of its own to lead and has great influence over the entire photographic community. Unlike the two great Minolta cameras of yesteryears in the XK/XM/X1 and the XD-7, these newer series of Minolta classic served a different segment of users. Unfortunately, these bodies have been long discontinued and you may even find it difficult to locate proper support even from their own creator, Minolta. Well, this site was created to serve and supplement (not compete) all existing owners and potential buyers, you may use this site for common support and share experience wherever it relates. I dusted off my Minolta 7000 MAXXUM after it sat in a drawer for approximately 21 years, put in new batteries, added the film and took a few pictures.
Problem: how do you turn it off??

Hello for some reason my Minolta X-700 will not advance film or take pictures. When I try to use the film advance lever, it moves about 30 degrees from the original position and then wont budge. Also when I look through the viewfinder, all I can see is black(The lens cap is off). I've replaced the batteries, and no luck. Thanks in advance for your help

I have an X-700 camera with a 49mm lens. I cannot get the lens off. It turns part way but hangs up on something before getting to where it needs to be to remove. Any suggestions? It has worked properly in the past.6. From : Karen (kw1949@comcast.net)

I have a minolta 7000 that I can not open the back of the camera to remove the film. The film is rewound, but the release bottom will not release the film door. Any suggestions?

I recently found an X-700 in good condition and am amidst restoring it. It lacks only several small screws for the bottom plate and the mounting bracket and two screws neccessary for securing the camera back. Any information as to where best find these is greatly appreciated as I once owned an original and am excited to have one again.

Hi,
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that hasn't been used in years. I put in new batteries, 4AAA's and put in film. It seems as if the automatic film winding motor is not functioing. It doesn't make any noise or anything it just does nothing....any suggestions?

I have a minolta maxxum 4 that wont power up, the film loads and i can do a manual rewind, and the display comes on for that but then goes blank.
anybody have any ideas?
