Modern Classic SLRs Series : |
Each of these three featured Minolta SLR camera models represent an era of its own to lead and has great influence over the entire photographic community. Unlike the two great Minolta cameras of yesteryears in the XK/XM/X1 and the XD-7, these newer series of Minolta classic served a different segment of users. Unfortunately, these bodies have been long discontinued and you may even find it difficult to locate proper support even from their own creator, Minolta. Well, this site was created to serve and supplement (not compete) all existing owners and potential buyers, you may use this site for common support and share experience wherever it relates. I recently bought a Minolta x-700 from a thrift store. I thought it was a great find for only 24.00. It came with a lens, and a flash attached. Now I find out the thing needs batteries. Do they still make the batteries that go for this camera? If so, where can I get them? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.9. From : Anna (tangldupinblu7@aol.com)

I was recently given an x-700 for my color photo class and am completely lost as far as using it. To the best of my knowledge it's been sitting on a shelf for close to 10 years in my granparents apartment so nobody really remembers how it works. My other camera is also a minolta but is only 5 years old so they are really different. I need help figuring out how to toggle the whole thing on and off-- there is a window that says "ON))" but no coordinating button. Any advice or tips would be really helpful from anyone who owns and uses this model, thanks.10. I recently purchased a used X-700 with several lenses. Everything works perfectly, but I want to clean the camera and lens bodies so they have better cosmetic appearance. Does anyone have any tips for getting that "like-new" shine back? Dennis
