Each of these three featured Minolta SLR camera models represent an era of its own to lead and has great influence over the entire photographic community. I have an AF 7000. The battery died and I had a shop install a new one. The 7000 worked fine until the pictures came back. They were not focused and were overexposed. They told me I needed a new chip. After 10 weeks and some tension there was no chip to be found. This is a Minolta shop. I cannot believe as great as this camera is there is no chip. Please help. I am from CT area. Thanks, David

Does anyone know where I can find a repair manual for the Minolta AF35-70mm f/4 lens? The plastic "barrel" that has intenal thread for the addition of filters has come loose and flops around...other than that the lens appears fine. It is a secondary camera for me and I would like to repair it if possible. The cost for it to be repaired I believe is more than value of camera. Thanks

Hi, Do you have a free download copy of the Minolta Dynax 7000i available, or maybe to e-mail to me. My father has given me this camera, but has no manual. Many thanks for any assistance. Gary.

My dad gave me a minolta x-700 about 15 years ago. Its still in great condition, never had any kind of problem with it. The problem is that I don“t know about its features. Just take ordinary pictures. This is the first time I ever thought to look for info. on it. I want to learn.

Hello, I've got the same problem with my 7000AF. the Indicators in the viewfinder are not working. Batteries are new. Since the camera is so old (20 yrs) it's not worth having it serviced as you can get newer used camera bodies that for the same amount as it would cost to fix the 7000 I assume. I'm currently learning about exposure control. The 7000 seems to shoot underexposed images (very shadowy). Any Suggestions? Thanks, B

I recently inherited a minolta maxxum 7000 from my grandfather after he passed away. The problem is that it will not turn on. I have tried replacing the 4 AAA batteries and still nothing. I have slid the slider/selector switch on the top through all the positions and nothing.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how i could get my grandfathers camera working again.
Thanks

I have a 7000i that has served me wonderfully for 10 years. PROBLEM: no exposure/aperature info in viewfinder anymore! only the red/green indicator comes on to show adequate light for exposure. in any mode: P, manual, aperature or shutter I get no numbers in the viewfinder (which is one of the most important features of this camera.) I get no spot metering at all. the rectangle that the numbers usually appear in seems to get brighter when I depress the shutter button part-way, but no numbers appear. They were there this morning! Did I accidentally turn them off somehow, and if so how do I get them back on? (the manual shows nothing about that capability) Or is it time for my 'annual' servicing by Minolta?
Thanks to any and all who can help.
