Each of these three featured Minolta SLR camera models represent an era of its own to lead and has great influence over the entire photographic community. I have a X-700 and can't get the film to advance with the lever, and I can't push the button to take a picture. Sounds like several people have this problem. The solution?

I have a Minolta x700 and I was wondering if there was a timer on it, and if so, where is it and how does it work.

Thank you

Lauren

Is the X-700 compatible with an IR remote shutter release stock from the factory? What kind of add-ons do you need?

Hi. I also have a problem with my X700. My dad gave it to me about 7 years ago and it worked GREAT! But I stopped using it for a while and I recently tried to use it again but it won't take pictures or wind. I sent it to get it repaired but they're having trouble finding parts, they might even have to reconstruct the WHOLE thing. Should I just give up and keep it on display? Do I have any other options

My X700 has not been used in about one year. I have put in new batteries, LED's light up, but shutter will not release. The film advance lever won't advance either. I have noticed this has appeared several times. Any advise would be great.

I have recently gone back to my old SLR since the digital camera broke within a year. I have a Minolta X-700 and use it with both the original MD 50 lens and the Auto 280PX flash attachment. I have noticed that once in a while the flash does not work or is late. I have fresh batteries in it and cycle the flash 3 times prior to first use to prime it. (I read that in the owners manual). It still happens. This is frustrating. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Mike

I have used the X-700 system of cameras for years and am suitably inpressed to never need another. Where does one go to get a better camera now that Minolta is no longer manufacturing them?
