With reference to a Minolta 7000i Dynax that my grandfather left me. I have sold it on EBAY and the recipient has reported that the autofocus does not work. The camera only works in manual mode. Does the camera have an internal battery that controls this function? Do you need to have a function card in the camera to make it work? Any thoughts as to likely causes please. I would be very gratefull. Tony.

I recentely aquired a Minolta AF Maxxum 700 which was built in the mid 80's, the instruction manual calls for AAA alkaline manganese batteries for the camera, but I believe they are not made anymore. Can regular alkaline batteries be used?, and if not, which do you recommend? Thank you Jimmy Lopez

I have a Maxxum 7000 which when it autofocuses it (I think it's the lense) screeches. Local camera shop says it's the age of the lenses. However, when they're used on another body they dont screech. I still get the picture I want so should I worry?

I have a Dynax 7000i camera and a M-AF 36i flash to use with it. However, I wish to use a flash that gives the option of manual control (fill in...). Is it possible to use a Vivitar 285HV flash (which I use with my Canon slr), or will this destroy the camera and/or flash? If this isn't possible, can anyone tell me if it's possible to get hold of an alternative flash which will allow me greater manual control with my 7000i? Thanks.
