Do all the Nikon F3's have a foam mirror damper -light block strip, or do the late model years have an air damper without the foam? How does one replace the foam mirror damper? Where does one get the proper foam?

The film advance lever on my F3 doesnt spring back on its own. I can manually push it home, but I was wondering if anyone had a mechanical drawing of the F3 workings. A way to troubleshoot before disassembly. Thank you

F3 back stuck. it's really hard to open the back and needs an extra pull from the side. Also film counter stuck at 40, and I don't see any little dent on the upper back section that would push the counter reset. counter reset is neither visible... Any help?

My Nikon F3's film winder has become loose. It advances the film OK but kind of flops around between the down position and the ready position, my terminology. Does anyone know what part might need replacing ? Thanks Randall

The only cases listed in my Nikon catalog for the F3 series cameras are the CS-15, CS-21A and CS-22. The only one listed that will accomodate a 105mm lens is the CS-21A. The CS-15 soft case might if you stretch it. The other two are semi-soft, and will not stretch appreciably. Walt

Hello! M.b. somebody use Nikon CF23 case? Is it compartible with F3HP camera (exactly DE3 viewfinder)? And which lens can I attach to body in this case (e.g. Nikkor 105 2.5, 85 1.8, 85 1.4)? Thank you!

To clean the F3 focusing screens, lift them gently out of the body and clean them using a soft microfiber cloth and a good quality lens cleaning solution.
