Nikon F3 - widely regarded as one of the most reliable electronic camera of all time and it was also the longest serving Nikon F-Series SLR camera. This evergreen model remains a hot favorite among many working pro and serious amateurs As every individual photographer has his own personal style to express himself and that includes how one handles his own photographic tools, this section allows you to share your knowledge & mutual experience using the camera. ok folks meter on f3 doesn't change from 1/80th to actual set shutter speed until frame 10 or 12. i know it is supposed to stay at 80 until frame 1. is this an easy fix? thx mike2. From : mike wilcox (mjswcox@hotmail.com)

f3hp meter is being weird. replaced batteries. meter shows shutter speed selected up to 1/60th then it says 80 after that for the rest. also it is not showing +/- signs. it worked fine a few days ago. have only shot 1 roll. had it in for $175.00 servicing 2 weeks ago since i hadn't used it in a while. any ideas?3. I havn't used my f3 hp in over 6 years. I put in new batteries and it will not work. Is there another battery that I have overlooked? I put in 2 sr44 batteries with the positive up.I hope that is correct. The readout will not show and it will not cock. I can activate the shutter by using the timer lever. To Diogo, the regular F3 / F3HP is not water resistant, and moisture may short-circuit the electronics. I would suggest some protective cover if you intend to use it in the rain.
