f3hp meter is being weird. replaced batteries. meter shows shutter speed selected up to 1/60th then it says 80 after that for the rest. also it is not showing +/- signs. it worked fine a few days ago. have only shot 1 roll. had it in for $175.00 servicing 2 weeks ago since i hadn't used it in a while. any ideas?

Harry Did you remember to turn the power switch on? It's at the base of the shutter release button. I mention this only because I have forgotten to turn it on myself. Walt McKinney

To Harry, Try cleaning the battery contacts and see if it would work. Your description of battery polarity (positive side up when inserted into the holder) is correct.

I havn't used my f3 hp in over 6 years. I put in new batteries and it will not work. Is there another battery that I have overlooked? I put in 2 sr44 batteries with the positive up.I hope that is correct. The readout will not show and it will not cock. I can activate the shutter by using the timer lever. I sure would appreciat any advise. Thank you. Harry

To Diogo, the regular F3 / F3HP is not water resistant, and moisture may short-circuit the electronics. I would suggest some protective cover if you intend to use it in the rain. Some care should be taken if you use it at the beach due to the salty air spray. RozKL

Is the F3-HP a good camera? What is one worth today in good condition? How old would one of these be? Thanks.
