Are there still any new F3T bodies around? I have one, but would like another. I know they have been discontinued. Any ideas? I am in California. Thanks. R Sroda

I just bought a complete F3 AF system, body, 80mm 2.8 AF lens and MD drive. All of it works perfectly except the AF functionality. The X is lighting up and sometimes blinking - but i'm not getting the red arrows or any drive functionality. The batteries are new...any ideas?

To Stephan The pair of contacts to the left side of the screen aren't in use with the DE-2, too. Maybe, they're desogned for the autofocus finder DX-1 though. Rgds from Kiel Hauke

Does anybody know the function of the 2 electric contacts on the left side underneath the viewfinders in the F3 body. They will not be used by the finder DE-5. Was it initially thought to connect a flach? Thanks Stephan

ASA setting in TTL Operation Hi, The reason I asked this question was that I had this dealer trying to sell me a SB 17 which seemed to have a defective ASA setting dial. According to the dealer it would not matter what the ASA dial was set on in TTL operation so I could use the flash. I promptly opened the manual and showed him the section relating to TTL operation where you are asked to set the correct ASA! He did'nt have an answer to this, but neither did I! MJ

Good question - as it has been in my mind for many years. Whatever it is, to adjust the ASA on the lash won't take 2 seconds, so I don't bother to ask others, Since you are asking, I would also love to see others' feedback. Thanks.

Does the F3 body transmit ASA information to the SB 17 in ttl mode? If this is true, then it is not necessary to set the correct ASA on the SB 17 itself in TTL mode as advised in the SB 17 instruction manual. Does anyone know the answer to this issue? Thanks, Javid
