Hi I just bought a second F3HP and I am puzzled, the shutter speed and ai index are much higher in the viewfinder than my other f3hp, it is the viewfinder, not the camera( i exchanged viewfinders on the bodies) The only difference I can see is the serial number on the one in question is older. it is a series 16xxxxx wher the other is a series 17xxxxx. was there a manufacturing change during this period? the older one is much more difficult to see with eyeglasses.... the reason i bought two HPs. Thanks, Dale

F3 참좋은 카메라이다. 일단은 내구성에서 그렇고 더욱이 시야율에서 만족스럽다.

Terry: Lucky devil.. don't complaint too much (must has been bought it damn cheap huh ?..) the F3/T is one of the most desired general product Nikon F3 model. Rugged and almost indestructable.. made of tough Titanium metal (prism/viewinder, top and bottom plate and even the back cover !). However, other features and operational functions remains the same with a standard Nikon F3HP model. First, click open this page to understand all its basic features in all the levers, buttons and dials found on the camera - copy and paste this URL on a new window: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/nikonf3ver2/htmls/map.htm Next: the Instruction manual section in this site will provide you with a good guide through how to make good use of a Nikon F3 - the rest are 'suppliments' to beef your personal knowledge in relation to its background, creator, special features, improvement/comparison with previous Nikons and how to make best of the camera with other system accessories: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/nikonf3ver2/f3manual/index.htm Enjoy your new purchase !

I recently bought an F3 body and now I need a lens. Could anyone suggest a good all around lens to start out with? Or just tell me what what types of lenses will fit and work with the F3's features. Thanks

Hi all, I'm looking for a Nikon F3 repair manual.. Can anybody help? I have problems with the AI coupling ring, it doesn't react to the first f stop, leading to under-exposed shots. Regards and thanks, Rob.

I have just purchased a used MD-4. It looks fine and seems to work ok as far as advancing the film one frame at a time or contineous frames. The only thing is one LED light stays lit when I put in the battery(new fully charged batteries) supply. The only way I can get it to go off is to remove the battery. It comes right back on when I put the batteries back in, I've tried starting with a new roll of film - same thing the light stays on when I put in the battery, Anyone got any idea ???

Thanks JWoods for your reply to the problem i posted on the 9th of April. I'm absolutely positive that there is variation in measurement in AUTO mode compared to MANUAL mode with my F3. I'm using the compensation dial to compensate now, and it works fine, as long as i remember to put it back to 0comp in MAN mode. My other camera's are a Nikon FM,FE & EM and i can tell you that i'm really having a hard time getting used to the 80/20 metering of the F3, since i'm used working with the 60/40 division. I mostly use my camera for landscape / travel photography and i'm always using slides. I have to be very carefull to do my light reading on something with an "average" color (green gras or grey street for example), or else my slides are not exposed correctly. Does anybody has some tips to prevent this. Is there a special way how you guys determine the correct exposure?

Daren: Most of the tiny (but essential) accessories that you are looking for can be get from Nikon DIRECTLY as parts for F3 is still available. Next, the question in relating to your F3 with gold lettering ? I am not sure but you can check/compare yours to see if it is of same colour with another F3 LE versionat : http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/nikonf3ver2/variations/f3limited/f3le.htm
