my fe shutter is jammed. it refuse to open! help please!

My FE shutter just jammed and I can't unstick it. It did not fire when I hit the shutter release button. It is not the batteries, which are new. Is there a fix, or is it toast.

I recently bought my wife a FE (mint for 99) couldnt say no! Anyway..I have been using my old F2 and my FG since they were new.I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion as to a nice general use lens for the FE.Something that can take a lick'n and keep on ticken....its for a newbie remember!

Does anyone know if it is possible to attach a waist level finder to a Nikon FE2, and if so, which model this would be? I am looking for a possibility to shoot images from a higher vantage point than my own height (i.e. with camera upside down and arms stretched over my head...). Thanks for any suggestions.

hello~ wonderful nikon site here. i have an FE that i would like to start taking some nightime shots with. what would anyone suggest for a flash that would be best for nightclub type scenes where the lights are very low, but many spotlights. thanks in advance for suggestions.

Hi-

I am a longtime FE devotee, but recently have noticed intermitent scratches on the shiny side of my film - they happen most often at the end of the roll, I've had a top Nikon tech address the problem (replacing both clitch and pressure plate) to no avail - I love this camera - does anyone have ANY insight into this problem??

I have just aquired an FE2, and it would appear that the shutter curtain is damaged. Can any one give me a rough idea of the cost of repair in the UK? Thanks a lot.

I recently bought a second hand FE2 and a MD12, because I thought it would be the best/reliable camera I could buy. Both are in excelent condition, as meets the eye. but as I checked out the MD12 there was a fairly loud click sound at the end of each film transportation. I today was told it is the normal sound of these kind of camera's. I could not photograph sensitive nature, wedding or other quiet foto oppertunaties, I think. Who has any advise for me, am I the only one with this problem?! Greetings to all, Chris

My hotshoe has recently unscrewed it self. Has anyone disassembled their Nikon FE and repair it. Help.
