Modern Classic SLRs Series : |
I have my admiration for some of the selective models within the Nikon FE Series. It is sad to realise Nikon doesn't understand what we are looking forward to at times in a SLR body. As the FE series models (Other than the FE-10) have long being discontinued. You may use this site for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experiences among yourself. Ronald - shorting the two pins in the remote socket of the MD-12 will fire the camera. I do not think the connectors can be obtained by themselves. Read more @ http://www.maxwell.com.au/club/lr/product/lr12-3/remote.html

Hi,
I use an FE camera with an MD12 winder.
I am looking for a electronic release cable, or an address where I can buy the connector so I can make one myself.
If someone has an cable layout it would be a good start.
Thanks,

Help. I have an FE that has sat in my camera bag un-used all summer. The light meter doesn't work. I replaced the batteries and yet the needle remains at the bottom of the meter. If some one has any idea of how to fix this problem please please e-mail me. Thank you.8. From : Jason Sober (bsober@swbell.net)

I had a NIKON FE with MD12 (plus Nikon F) given to me last year when my employer was changing to digital. The were going to throw them away! Both are in mint condition, and with a 28mm, 50nn, 55mm (macro),and 135mm,plus I have a very satisfying kit.
On a few occasions, the shutter has locked. BUT If the FE is used without the motor drive, and the film has been moved forward, Fitting the MD12 at this point causes the lock. So, ifworked without the drive (for silence), leave winding on until the MD12 is put on and then apply power. - Well it works for me.
I have looked at the new FM3, but for over £500.00 I will stick to the FE and F.
