Modern Classic SLRs Series : |
I have my admiration for some of the selective models within the Nikon FE Series. It is sad to realise Nikon doesn't understand what we are looking forward to at times in a SLR body. As the FE series models (Other than the FE-10) have long being discontinued. You may use this site for common support and sharing mutual knowledge or experiences among yourself. Hope someone can help me. I have a Nikon FE2 in which the re-wind handle and spindle pulled out of the camera body - I thick the circlip holding the spindle came off. The camera back is now closed and I can't open it because there is no re-wind handle or spindle. Is anyone aware of any method of opening the camera so that I can try to re-insert the spindle and circlip. All the best. perez@uvtc.net.au

Hi all, I have just purchased a Nikon FE2 on ebay that has two problems:
1) The meter sometimes doesn't switch on when I press the shutter release button down to take a meter reading. It is a random problem, and it there is without and with the MD-11.
2) The meter accuracy is not perfect and need adjustment. It needs a compensation of +2 stop. I can check the meter accuracy because I have 2 other FE cameras. How it is possible to fix these problems? How it is possible to adjust the meter accuracy? I have the repair manual of the FE, here there is written that for this problem it is necessary to access to the LC printed circuit, but it is not clear where it is. Someone has some photos that explain how disassemble the FE2? Regards Sandro4. From : Tom (mxpx30683@yahoo.com)

I just got an old FE2 and an AF zoom lens, is there any drawbacks to using an AF lens on a FE2 body? Thanks, Tom5. From : wimvan.bodegom@inter.nl.net (wimvan.bodegom@inter.nl.net)

The shutter on my FE keeps sticking! I don't know what to do. I really want to get out and start taking pics, but on every roll, it seems that the shutter just decides to take a break. Please help me with this and make me a happy man.8. From : Matt (kailpot@hotmail.com)

Thanks for the great information on this site.
I've had fun fooling around with my Nikon FE for a few years, but only recently have I decided to sit down and bother to *learn* how the thing really works and get another lens or two. Does somebody know if the older lenses with rabbit ears are compatible with the FE body? All the lenses I've had before were earless. Feel free to email me. And thank you!10.
