A friend has a Nikkormat FT2 with Nikor F1.8 50mm and Nikor S F28 lenses as best I can understand him on the phone. He hasn't used this equipment in fifteen years and has offered to sell it to me at whatever price is fair. Can some of you suggest what a fair price would be? This is the black bodied camera. Emphasis is on what is fair for both parties and if the price is in U.S. dollars it will make things simplier for me. Thanks to all, Hu2. From : Mark Jacobson (mjacob47@yahoo.com)

I have a Nikkormat FTn. It has a meter needle on the top of the camera body. The little glass window fell off years ago and I'm looking to replace it. Nikon cannot help me. Any suggestions? Thank you, Mark3. From : Tanya (T3Tanya@aol.com)

I am looking for a flashmount attachment for my FTN. The FTN has no hotshoes. The attachment I used to own but lost some years ago is made of metal and shaped to fit the top of the camera with a dummy shoe(for mounting a flash) on top.Would appreciate if anyone know where I can buy this attachment. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.6. From : Alastair Leith (alastairleith@yahoo.co.uk)

How does one set the ASA on a Nikkormat FT? I can't remember. The ASA Scale slides against the Maximum Lens Apature scale, yet when I set the correct film speed against the max ap. eg. 200 ASA: 5.6 I get light meter readings that are nowhere near my FTn7. From : Doug Norman (dougn@madasafish.com)

I have owned an FT2 for 22years, it has had 2 new winders, due to age and working environment, but still it is the mainstay of my profesional equipment. What a camera!!! Here's to another 22 years!!!8. From : Christian Maldonado Fisker;pro photographer (fiskerchristian@hotmail.com)

I recently dusted off my Nikon PhotomicTn and Nikkormat FTN to provide my grand nephew a camera for his first photography course. I was pleased with the details on your website after being told by a reputable dealer that technical and functional information was no longer available for these cameras. Unfortunately, the meter on the Nikkormat appears to have failed ( it worked immediately after installing a new battery but did not operate subsequently, even though the battery checks out OK). Is it possible to obtain a new or replacement meter for this camera ( I can send it to Japan if necessary)? I have seen used cameras with and without operable meters on several sites but realize the same fate could befall them at any moment. I would welcome a Japan-based Nikon website with a good reputation for Nikon repair. Thank you .10. After responding to Alex's query,I looked thru the viewfinder of my Nikkormat ELW and realised I don't know what the black bar opposite the 15(1/15)mark is for.The MIR sites on the EL and ELW don't even mention this.Is this just a reference point for the black pointer when the meter is off?
